Lavinia

Vineyard, the theme of Fleur en Fleur's spring edition during Expo 2015, served as the muse of Matthan Gori's highly admired installation piece: Lavinia.

Lavinia, a dress made entirely of real cork, has a voluminous wavy skirt featuring three-dimensional pockets holding bottles of wine. The three-dimensional character of Lavinia's surface, its stature and fabric made of natural cork are reminiscent of a sculpture made by a tailor.

Lavinia invites people to consider different perspectives. Conditioned to see corks being inside wine bottles, people are pleasantly surprised to find the wine bottles inside a dress made of cork.
